Introduction
Born in Zimbabwe, I moved to the UK at the beginning of the millennium and met my wife Amanda. We have two lovely children – one attending Crosshall Junior School and the other at Crosshall Infant School.
Background/work experience
My early career was as an Articled Clerk with KPMG in Bulawayo Zimbabwe, before running my own business for 7 years, before I moved to the UK.
I am a Chartered Global Management Accountant and an Associate with the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (CGMA/ACMA). I hold a BA (Hons) Sustainable Performance Management and have completed an MBA (Financial Management) in the last few years.
I work as a Senior Financial Consultant and have a passion for ensuring Sustainability in my personal and everyday working life. I have worked across Education, Not for Profit/Charity, Health/Care and Central Government sectors. My desire to be more sustainable is directly linked to my two children whose generation I think of when I hear the definition of sustainable development:
“…Satisfying our current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy their needs”.
I have previously held trustee positions with the ReUse Centre in Bedford (2 years) and Carers Trust Cambridgeshire in St Ives (5 years).
I sat as a Crosshall Infant School Governor since 2014 where I have been a trustee and Deputy Chair. I sat on Admissions, Audit and Curriculum sub-committees and led the Finance Committee in my final year as Governor.
I look forward to working with Crosshall Junior School as a Governor with the aim to help shape the sustainable future with the School’s Board, Headteacher and staff of this excellent Junior School.
